Partners Cara Koenig and Niklas Hallin each have over 18 years of experience in art direction and design of printed communications. Since establishing Motion Squared Design (M2D) in 1998, they have enjoyed steady growth and have worked on a wide variety of corporate programs, ranging from print collateral and packaging design, to corporate identity development, event graphics, and Web art direction.
Cara graduated with honors from Carnegie-Mellon University, with a BFA in Graphic Design. Her background includes positions as Associate Art Director for House and Garden Magazine, Package Designer with Container Corporation of America, and Art Director with Tandem Computers, where she specialized in event graphics, before freelancing on her own.
Prior to forming M2D, Nik freelanced and held design and art director positions at Tandem Computers, Rutherford Bolen Group, and SGI. In 1996, he began three years as an Art Director for the Silicon Works Group at SGI. While freelancing, Nik worked on projects for such firms as Apple, Forté Software, Network Appliance and Hewlett-Packard.
Clients are attracted to M2D's small agency appeal for a couple of important reasons: they are accessible, easy to work with and bring senior-level attention to every project.
M2D's client list includes CargoSmart, Compaq, Ellen Michaels Presents, Fujifilm, LP Solutions, MicroHelix, Inc., Nortel Networks, Palm, Phone.com, Powerfile, SGI, and Santa Cruz Biotechnology.
